A mysterious black-and-white scene with a typewriter, crow, woman in water, and ancient building under moonlight.

Welcome to Indian Gothic Publishing

NEW: We are accepting flash fiction!

From the second issue onward, our first-ever Monsoon edition, we are accepting flash fiction. If you have written the shortest short stories, you will know they are the toughest form of fiction writing because we have to say more with less!

We want your most compelling short fiction that depicts a slice of life, with all its horrors, weirdness, supernatural, or paranormal elements! Whether it is set in a jungle or on another planet, whether your character is losing a battle with the aliens or conquering ghosts, we want to read them all, but within the prescribed word range - 1000 words!

Go ahead and dazzle us!

David Gaffney

“In flash fiction, what you leave out is as important as what you put in.”

“I’m not interested in writing something long for the sake of length. I’m interested in saying what needs to be said in the fewest words possible.”

Lydia Davis
